Privacy Policy

This is a working draft and must be reviewed by counsel before launch. Placeholders are marked.

What we collect

Information you enter into a form on this site: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, state, the approximate date of the incident, and your answers to the screening questions. We also collect standard technical information including IP address, browser type and pages visited.

Consent records

When you submit a case review request we retain a record of your consent: the date and time, your IP address, your browser user agent, the exact wording of the consent language displayed to you, and the values you submitted. We retain this record permanently.

Who we share it with

If you submit a case review request and check the consent box, we transmit the information you provided to one participating law firm assigned to your state. That firm pays us a flat advertising fee. We do not sell your information to lead aggregators, brokers, or multiple firms.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable state laws, this transfer may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You may opt out at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of the sale or sharing of that information, by emailing privacy@claimyourbite.com. We will respond within the period your state requires.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Communications

If you consented to contact, you may withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by clicking unsubscribe in any email, or by emailing privacy@claimyourbite.com. We honour opt-out requests promptly and in any event within the period the law requires.

Purchases

Payments for the Claim Kit are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Purchasing the Claim Kit does not consent you to contact from any law firm; that consent is collected separately and only if you request a case review.

Counsel review required before launch: confirm the current list of states with comprehensive privacy laws in force, the applicable response deadlines, the required notice-at-collection language, and whether a Global Privacy Control signal must be honoured.
